Announcement: Sorry for the belated update on Episode 3. I watched it last Saturday but my laptop faced some issues right after. And for the next 3 days, I had to use my really old (6-years) Acer which lags so much that I couldn’t do much with it anyways. Instead, I turned to novels during that period, didn’t watch anything. Now that I have my beloved lappy back, I can proceed with this ^^
For the first time since Ep 1, we actually got to see a struggling Asumi. While things went smoothly for her in 1-2 episodes of revenge plots, she actually failed in this. It’s a nice change of pace to see that things don’t work accordingly. I know some people complained how the villains gave up too easily which didn’t seem realistic at all. Hence, this episode is a good turning point.
She went after Hyuga upon getting some confession/revelation from Chihara sensei in the previous episode. Hyuga is a typical villain lawyer who only thinks of winning without an ounce of conscience. Of course, he uses the usual tricks like social network to emphasize on his role as a good husband (family man) and citizen who gives back to the elders and whatnot. All just a facade for his dirty work underneath.
Asumi has a trump card for her plan to work, however, she was doubting whether she should use it or not.
Nishikado offered his assistance only to get shunned away even further by Asumi.
I like the twist whereby we were fooled (though I had inkling he had something up his sleeves), when Nishikado was seen getting close to Hyuga and Bandai Sensei. He wrote a splendid article for Hyuga (which would only help him in the upcoming election). Of course, upon reading that article, Asumi got the wrong perception, that feeling of being betrayed by Nishikado. She went back and tore off his card, made up her mind to use that trump card even though that will involve people outside this circle of villains.
Despite being warned by Nishikado about interfering with a stranger whom she would have no control of, she pursued it anyway.
You know how every successful man has a woman behind him? Well, Hyuga probably has two…the woman he had an affair with previously appeared and we know this was arranged by Asumi.
Guy is obviously in love with her. I can only see how tragic this side love story will end when Asumi crushed his father. OR…maybe he won’t be as sad when he finds out all the dirty stuffs his father had swept under his gold linen rug. But what IF Asumi also has slightly fallen in love with him for his innocence?! *gasps* Although I’d very much we’ll get something out of the Asumi- Nishikado pair.
Note: If anyone caught a glimpse of the camera he’s using, please tell me what brand and model. Thank you.
Does taxi in Japan or Tokyo, available everywhere and anytime? I just found that sequence where she chased after the woman who rushed out of the hotel and the taxi passed by, just in time to pick her up, a bit unrealistic. But that’s what dramas are for.
Asumi failed to convince Hyuga’s ex-mistress to take the ultimate revenge on him, instead she ran away with the video about his affair, thinking of extorting more money from him. This left Asumi abandoned, alone in despair knowing her plan had gone down the drain for the first time.
I suppose this episode is made to make Asumi realize that things can still fail even if she planned everything meticulously. Of course, she was a bit careless this time. Giving in to her fragile emotions upon thinking she was betrayed by Nishikado. We get to see Nishikado be a hero in this episode too. I wonder if after this incident, do we get an Asumi-Nishikado conbi against the villains in Seirin Hospital?
This episode is still going in a good pace. It has slowed down just a tiny bit as we see Asumi faced a stumbling block and Nishikado made it his point to be hero of the day, as he tries to convince Asumi to accept his help. We’ll see how this pair head off in the next episode.
We’ve yet to see how this Sensei fits into the whole revenge plot. Is he the good guy or actually the mastermind behind all the dirty works? So far, all we know about him is that he’s Bandai’s biggest competitor and presented as a good neutral doctor who believes in working for the sake of patients – the opposite of Bandai. However, his interest in Asumi and the related cases, also poses a worrying factor. The fact that he actually hired an investigator (that or he stalked Asumi himself and took that picture of Asumi with the woman), made me curious of his nature.
NEXT EPISODE PREVIEW
Is Asumi finally going for Bandai??? Also, are we getting some love rivals as Chiaki’s character jealous of Asumi’s closeness with the guy she’s in love with?
