In this episode, we have a kid who pretended to be sick just to get her mother’s attention. Momoko was surprised and wanted to tell the mother the truth but her boss and other colleagues refrained her from doing so. To be honest, I don’t get why they won’t let Momoko just tell the mother the truth, I mean, letting the kid have her way and keep on pretending to be sick is not the answer. The mother should be told and let them talk properly while finding out the reason.
Asahina’s daughter, Koharu came to the office to find him. From that brief scene, we can already see that their relationship as father-daughter was not good. It was also revealed later that Asahina’s wife passed away 3 years ago and she was one of the co-founders of the company.
Asahina made bento everyday for her but she never wanted to eat them.
Oops…no, he’s Kenta now XD
Momoko was eating with her teacher friend when Kenta and his father came. Talk about coincidence.
One day, Koharu was sick and had to stay home. Asahina had errands to make so Momoko came to babysit.
Asahina made two bentos for them. Momoko was touched because it was the first time anybody ever made bento for her. Wow…her childhood experience must be bad! Well, from the flashbacks shown before this, I think it was pretty obvious.
Watching Momoko teared up while eating the bento her father made, Koharu tried to eat hers too.
I think Momoko has a long term supply of nukazuke pickles in her house.
Momoko was assigned again to take care of the kid who lied about having tummy pain.
She decided to tell the mother but she got mad instead and accused Momoko for saying her child lied.
Back at the office, Momoko was lectured again by Yanagi. I like Fujiki Naohito as an actor but man, he’s really annoying in this show haha…he’s really bossy and everytime he scolded Momoko, I can’t help but think he’s really exaggerating the issue at hand. Well, Momoko may be inexperienced but watching her being blamed for minor issues (remember when she helped to clean the house before this?) and now telling the mother the truth.
I know there are some principles Little Snow has to hold as a company that provides child care, they need to be careful when handling children and their parents but there are some parts which I really disagree with.
Also what’s with the constant dislike to Momoko by her own mother!
Yui (the kid who lied about being sick)’s mother knew she was lying and Asahina explained that it happened to him when Koharu’s mother was admitted to the hospital 3 years ago.
“Parents have the choice of believing their kids even though they lied.”
Can’t say I agree 100% with that though…
If you let kids lie their way from young, won’t they grow up to become liars when they’re adults?
See kid, when you lie all the time, things might happen for real.
Damn this kid is good.
Hmm…I have mixed feelings about this episode. I think it was a bit rushed? We only saw bits and pieces of Yui’s plot so as a viewer, I can’t really connect with the characters. It wasn’t as focused as the first episode. But I do understand that they needed to shift some focus onto Asahina’s family too so maybe because of that, it felt a bit lacking.
Momoko’s brother went to her previous nursery to find her. Looks like even the brother used to bully her. Her family in general is CRUEL to Momoko, jeez.
What’s their friggin problem?
